Team Sports

At Berkeley Hall, boys and girls interscholastic team sports are an active part of community life. We have 28 Berkeley Hall Bobcat teams, grades four through eight, which compete in basketball, football, soccer, swimming, volleyball, and track and field. And with superior athletics facilities on our 66 acres, a substantial portion of the games are played on our home fields.

The purpose of our Team Sports Program is to develop and improve athletic ability, learn how to commit to a team, demonstrate sportsmanship, and find success while having fun! We want everyone prepared well enough, physically and mentally, to be able to participate in athletics in high school, college, and beyond.

Challenging oneself in all ways is a generations-old hallmark of a Berkeley Hall education, as is learning how to express teamwork. We are a member of the San Fernando Valley Independent School League, and compete against schools such as Buckley, Curtis, Sierra Canyon, Viewpoint, Campbell Hall, Oakwood, among many others.

At Berkeley Hall, every student can compete in and enjoy sports, and experience the joy and satisfaction of being part of a team.

Berkeley Hall’s natural setting, beautiful campus, and athletic facilities and grounds are wonderfully conducive to hosting tournaments, meets, and athletic events for schools across the Southland. But what is even more rewarding is that Berkeley Hall students are known for expressing the highest levels of sportsmanship, fair play, integrity, and collegiality.
Located in Los Angeles, CA, Berkeley Hall School is a private, coeducational school for students in preschool through grade 8. Rigorous academics in a supportive atmosphere and grounded character development allow students to become fearless scholars and conscientious citizens - gain a love of learning, leadership with social responsibility, creativity with moral integrity, and self-esteem with compassion for others and the environment.
