About

The Wellness Center

At BHS we think of wellness as the undeniable right to health and wholeness. We work in partnership with students, families, and educators to create a safe and healthy school environment as we guide students through their wellness journey.

The Wellness Center, under the guidance of Mackenzie Scott, Director of Student Wellness, and Kendall Shoemake, AHOS: Programs and DEIB, promotes the health and wellbeing of our community through a variety of programs. These include but are not limited to health and medical needs, Covid-19 protocols and procedures, outdoor education trips, student council, community time, after-school enrichment programs, extended daycare, bus program, academics, social emotional learning, restorative practices, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and wellness time (formerly known as advisory).
