Where Leadership Begins and Confidence Grows

Middle school is a time of transformation and at Berkeley Hall, it’s where students truly take flight. Your child will be known, seen, and supported every step of the way as they grow into confident learners and thoughtful leaders.

Why Our Middle School?

Our Middle School empowers students to lead, grow, and thrive in a uniquely supportive environment.

  • Room to Grow, Space to Be: Our intentionally small, Preschool - 8th Grade structure gives Middle Schoolers space to develop age-appropriately, free from high school pressures, yet supported to explore themselves with confidence.
  • Leadership Without Limits: Middle Schoolers shine as campus role models, serving on Student Council, leading assemblies, competing in team sports, and mentoring younger students through buddy and peer tutoring programs.
  • High School Ready: From public speaking and writing workshops to one-on-one high school counseling, students are well prepared for a range of top-tier high schools.

Middle School Day in the Life

This sample schedule offers a glimpse into a typical day, though details may differ between grades.

Finding the Right High School Together

High school is a match to be made, not a prize to be won. That’s the heart of our high school philosophy at Berkeley Hall. Beginning in seventh grade, we guide families through a supportive process focused on finding the best fit for each student. The student-led process includes individual counseling, a dedicated high school readiness course, a campus fair and meetings. Students practice interviews, write personal essays, and reflect on their research. Families meet with our Head of School and key administrators. This supportive journey helps students feel confident and excited about the next step in their education.

The teachers are kind and nurturing - the small class sizes allow the teachers to meet each child’s needs academically and socially. The curriculum is well-rounded and challenging, and most importantly, my son loves going to school.
