Madeline Hardy, MEd

JH English Teacher
Education
M.Ed., Elementary Education, Quinnipiac University
B.A., History/French, Quinnipiac University
Certified to teach K-6 in CT

Ms. Hardy moved from Connecticut, where she was born and raised, to come work at Berkeley Hall and it was the best decision she ever made. She taught 5th Grade for four years focusing on teaching a variety of units in reading, writing, math, and social studies, but she also loved to impart organization and executive function skills to her students so that they feel successful in middle school. Now, she is reaping the benefits of having taught those skills to her 5th grade students because now they are her JH English students! Aside from teaching, she loves to travel, cook, sail, and snowboard.

Why do I love teaching? I love teaching because of the relationships I build with my students and colleagues. I find so much joy in helping students meet the goals they set for themselves and discover a love of learning. I also love collaborating with my fellow teachers in order to consistently improve my own teaching pedagogy and craft.
