Financial Aid Deadlines & Forms

At Berkeley Hall, we are deeply committed to promoting socioeconomic diversity in our community. To that end, the school awards annually over $1 million in need-based grants to qualified students from kindergarten to 8th grade.

Berkeley Hall School belongs to the School and Student Service (SSS) which requires parents to complete a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) and which collects all required supporting documentation annually. The PFS gathers in one place all relevant information about family size, income, and expenses. SSS analyzes the information on the PFS and estimates the family's ability to contribute to all educational expenses.
 
In the case of divorced or separated parents, both natural parents must submit Parents’ Financial Statements and provide all required documents.
 
Financial Aid Timetable
The financial aid application process occurs at the same time as the admissions process. However, the decisions to accept and to award assistance are separate. Awards are made by the Financial Aid Committee and mailed with the acceptance packets. The school maintains strict confidentiality for all financial aid recipients. Go to the website sss.secure.force.com/familyportal to complete and upload online the following:

  1. Complete online the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) on the SSS website. Instructions are available under Downloads below. Berkeley Hall School's SSS Code is 2486.

  2. Submit online copies of the following required documents:
  • 2017 Federal Income Tax Return (Form 1040) signed and dated with all schedules
  • 2017 W2 and 1099 forms
  • 2018 End of Year Pay Stubs
  • Last two months of bank statements (all pages; preferably November and December 2018)
  • Upload a signed and dated IRS Form 4506-T.

Go to your SSS by NAIS account and upload the rest of the required supporting documents:

  1. 2018 Federal Income Tax Return (Form 1040) signed and dated with all schedules. If you own a business, also upload a signed and dated copy of your 2018 Corporate Federal Corporate Return.

  2. 2018 W-2 Forms

  3. 2018 1099 Forms, if applicable.
Last year all Financial Aid funds were awarded. Some applicants were not able to receive funds due to late applications or missing documentation.  Please be sure to submit all documentation in a timely manner. The Financial Aid Committee will not review an incomplete application.
