Woo-hoo, school's almost back in session! We can't wait! To support your child's transition back to school, check out this article from Scholastic. In addition to a whole bunch of helpful tips, the article states that when it comes to jitters, "the most important tool you can use is to know your own child. Can you believe that there's only one week left until our classrooms are filled with the smiling faces of our students!?

It sounds intimidating but it is SO easy to do science experiments at home with your kids! Some might require you to get some unusual items from the store, but most can be done with everyday staples. Here's an awesome resource for fun STEM activities that will help to keep your students sharp over the summer.

To make it more academic: Be sure to ask them lots of questions to help them be engaged and think through the process while they do the experiment. Questions can be simple, like, why do you think that happened? Or what do you think we should do next?

Kidspace Children's Museum! Check it out here.
(Pro tip: the first Tuesday of every month is free for families!)
