6th Grade Invitational Dance

This Berkeley Hall tradition pulls at the heartstrings every year when sixth graders are welcomed so enthusiastically by the older students to their very first dance at BHS. After being announced by the DJ, sixth graders ran through a tunnel of junior high students to enter an exquisitely decorated room with a masquerade theme. Students prepared for this semi-formal dance by learning and practicing swing dance in PE class for several weeks. Students danced the night away, ate some fabulous food provided by the parents, and enjoyed being with their friends and showing off their moves. The culminating event of the evening, the Swing Dance Competition, revealed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winning couples from each grade. It was a great night! A special thank you goes out to all the parent volunteers, led by JH coordinators Sasha Brauer and Vanessa Kiss, who made Hodges look so special.
