6th Grade Catalina Island Adventures!

Fearless sixth grade scholars launched on a three-day adventure to Catalina Island. They beat the heat of L.A. by plunging into Toyon Bay for an afternoon of snorkeling on their first day. In the evening, they hiked up the canyon and star-gazed as the night sky grew dark. They learned fascinating facts about the stars and universe.

Marine labs filled the morning on Tuesday, and the students enjoyed an afternoon at the beach in and out of the waves. Afterward, they donned their snorkeling gear for an intriguing view of the world under the sea during the night. Bioluminescence radiated as they swished through the water.

On Wednesday morning, they had a great time climbing rock walls while listening to their favorite rock music. All, regretted departing in the afternoon, but they were filled with great memories and tons of photos to share with their families.
