Tennis Tournament

After a rain delay and a huge concerted effort on the part of volunteers to roll, mop, and vacuum the courts, the Dads' Club Tennis Tournament commenced. A few hours in however, there was another onslaught of showers and US Open Division matches were postponed. But not all was lost!

The rains passed and the courts dried just in time to continue with the Wimbledon Division matches. Six teams battled it out and a few dads ended up getting too much sun! The competition was fierce and fun. 3rd Place went to Chuck Uhlmann and David Gupta, and the first two seated teams advanced to the finals: the sprightly and athletic team of Coach Ryan Duffy and Charlie Martin (the point leaders) and the wiser and more worldly team of “Pepe” Jose Baraja alternating with Michael Beaudry and Myles Berkowitz. The final turned out to be an epic battle in which the youthful Coaches edged out the more mature “Pepe”/Beaudry team and squeaked by with a 6-3 Wimbledon win!

Stay tuned for a rescheduled US Open Division Tournament and a new Moms, Dads and Kids mixed doubles tournament in 2015!
