Second Graders on the Map
The Second Grade had a blast making their Me on the Map! project for Social Studies. This was the culminating activity for the unit on geography and awareness of their home and larger community environments. After mapping their bedrooms, houses, and streets, they created their own bird’s-eye view map of each stage, as they zoomed out and up to finally take a look at their city, state, and world maps, which were then all assembled in a colorful booklet.
