ECD Team Wins Adult Spelling Bee
At Berkeley Hall's first ever Adult Spelling Bee, the ECD “Better Than Auto-Correct” team, led by Jaclyn Vercillo won the event, having faced stiff competition from 3rd Grade’s “24 Karat Magic,” led by Clayanna Warthen. It was a tough competition and Clayanna gave Jaclyn a run for her money… no pun intended! Both ladies put on stellar performances.
Huge thanks to everyone who participated in this year's Adult Spelling Bee! We had a great time at MountainGate Country Club and netted over $13,000 in support of Berkeley Hall's Annual Fund.
Speaking of money – Clayanna was our top money-raiser, bringing in $2,900 on her own. That being said, many players also worked very hard to raise money to support Berkeley Hall. We are very grateful for the efforts of each and every participant.
At the end of the night, and since the event, we’ve heard many times, “We have to do this again next year!” So we intend to – stay tuned!
