In the fall, the 8th grade class goes on an Outdoor Education trip to Yosemite to experience learning in a different way. This year the trip runs from September 8 through September 12 and includes four nights in our own corner of Curry Village. Participants will have the opportunity to hike, rock climb, study the alpine ecology and geology, and learn about stewardship of the earth first hand. They will also get to know their classmates better through team-building activities and shared mealtimes.
The educational program is led by instructors from Nature Bridge, who are highly trained and do an incredible job of introducing young people to Yosemite. Four or more Berkeley Hall teachers will chaperone this trip.
To prepare, parents fill out two (2) permission forms - one for BHS in Cooper's Cave and one for Nature Bridge linked below. Be sure to stick to the packing list provided here. To get all your questions answered, it is important to attend our informational Zoom meeting in May.
