Reesa Jones

Director of Upper Division 

Reesa Jones brings a deep understanding of our school’s mission and philosophy to her position as Upper Division Director (4th - 8th grade). She is an effective leader who joined BHS in 2016, and served as band and PE teacher, coach, assistant athletic director, and department coordinator, helping to develop an improved PE curriculum with high participation. She was also a facilitator for BHS' Depth of Study program, and she holds numerous coaching certifications in track & field, volleyball, and soccer.  
 
Reesa received both her B.A. in music and her teaching credential at UCLA, before going on to teach music at Venice High School where she ran an award-winning music program. Prior to BHS, she earned a MBA and MFA from California State University, Long Beach. She was the marketing director and education outreach coordinator for several theaters in Long Beach.

A pivotal experience in Reesa’s life was the opportunity to travel for a year, exploring all fifty states, Canada, Fiji, and Australia. She loves being active and outdoors, and has embarked on various water and backpacking adventures. One of her greatest accomplishments was to complete the LA Marathon. Reesa loves her family and friends, church, and two sweet cats.
