Preschool (N-EK) Academics

Academic Activities to Nurture Our Youngest Learners

Berkeley Hall Preschool (Nursery and Early Kindergarten) provides a supportive and nurturing environment for that all-important transition from home to school. Full-time faculty in each classroom guide young children toward mastery of daily tasks, self-discipline, and preparedness for Kindergarten while, at the same time, engaging in developmentally appropriate academic activities (e.g., basic counting skills, narrative storytelling, etc.).

Preschool children are also nurtured and stretched by learning specialists in music, art, physical movement, and library to ensure a well-rounded and balanced foundation for Elementary School and beyond.

At Berkeley Hall, early childhood development is about teaching our youngest learners to embrace learning, self-discovery, and opportunities to interact well with others – thus helping them to launch a journey of discovery that will last a lifetime.
Located in Los Angeles, CA, Berkeley Hall School is a private, coeducational school for students in preschool through grade 8. Rigorous academics in a supportive atmosphere and grounded character development allow students to become fearless scholars and conscientious citizens - gain a love of learning, leadership with social responsibility, creativity with moral integrity, and self-esteem with compassion for others and the environment.
