Geoffrey Fontaine

Mr. Geoffrey Lancaster Fontaine is an example of a teacher who has lived and experienced the subjects e teaches. A professional actor, singer,   and voiceover talent, he has performed in over 200 professional plays and musicals in major cities across the U.S., has stage-managed over 1,000 more, and has served as the Executive Director of the Pasadena Symphony. Geoffrey has worked on stage, on the set or in the recording studio with such luminaries as actor, J.K. Simmons; cellist, Msitislav Rostropovich; singers, Tatiana Troyanos, Mel Tormé, Lou Rawls; and film composer, Bruce Broughton. He worked as the Head Stage Manager for the nationally renowned Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois. He has given pre-concert lectures at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Royce Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.
 
An enthusiastic educator, with advanced degrees in theater, music, and musical arts (Northwestern University), Geoffrey has taught at virtually all levels – from elementary school through college. For years, he toured the Pacific Northwest, Mountain states and southern Alberta working with thousands of young people in a “Theatre-in-the-Schools” residency program.
