Kelly Neale

JH Math Teacher
B.A., Minor in math, Principia College

After a 20-year career as a technical writer, computer programmer and software trainer, Mrs. Neale decided to bring her background to the classroom and discovered children are far easier to teach than adults! She took graduate courses in education from UCLA and UC Riverside and mentored for two years under BHS’s former junior high math teacher and Fulbright Scholar.

Why do I love teaching? I love teaching math in particular, because it’s long been my passion, and I think the world is in need of good math teachers. But even more importantly, I love teaching junior high math, because each new class of students brings such wonderful creativity, intellect, curiosity and variety!
